I have a degree in mathematics and philosophy; my doctorate is in logic. I started my career in risk assessment at Munich Re. In 2005, I founded the "Institut für Vermögensaufbau" (IVA), a non-bank company that promotes asset accumulation for private investors. Today I am the managing director of Index Capital GmbH.
Why I support Neunundvierzig
I have known Nikolaus Braun and Stefan Heringer for well over ten years, during which time a deep relationship of trust has developed. We are in an industry that continues to be driven by the search for hot investment tips and a focus on commissions. Nikolaus Braun and Stefan Heringer quickly and thoroughly understood that the only investment strategies that are successful in the long term are those that are backed by financial science.
As a philosopher with a PhD, I particularly like their calm and intelligent view of how money can contribute to a better quality of life.
I am therefore delighted to be able to support the two founders of Neunundvierzig with my strategic advice and expertise.
Simon Buck, Fee-only Advisor at Buck Advice

Born in 1969 in Radolfzell on Lake Constance, I began my career with an apprenticeship as a bank clerk and financial assistant on the island of Reichenau. After studying politics, business administration and public law, I held various positions in strategic communications consultancy and the financial services sector. I became increasingly aware of the need for independent, scientifically based financial advice. Based on this conviction, I founded BuckAdvice Personal Finance in Berlin in 2013 and, as a certified fee-based advisor, have since been helping investors move away from short-term speculation and towards a long-term, disciplined investment strategy.
In addition to my advisory work, I am an active speaker, a member of the Lions Club Berlin, an enthusiastic rower and a family man. With my wife and four children, I enjoy the diversity of Berlin as well as sporting activities in the Brandenburg countryside.
Why I support Neunundvierzig
I have known Dr Nikolaus Braun and Stefan Heringer for many years and appreciate their clear, science-based approach to financial advice and their expertise in building their business. In an industry that is often characterized by short-term thinking and commission-driven incentives, we share the conviction that only evidence-based, predictive investment strategies can deliver sustainable success. I am therefore delighted that we will be connecting our expertise, processes and advisory approach even more closely by joining forces with Christian Rump from Neunundvierzig Honorarberatung from July 2025. Our aim is to provide rational and relevant investment advice to a wider audience. We will coordinate regularly with our colleagues at Neunundvierzig – whether through workshops, joint client meetings or events.
Robert Förg, Financial Planer at Family Office Förg

After training as a banker, I worked for 17 years as a wealth planner at a private bank in Munich. I am a certified financial planner, business economist, financial specialist and trustee. In 2017, I supported the establishment of a multi-family office before moving to a single family office. Since 2024, I have consistently applied my experience and expertise in my own family office.
In my private life, I have been a Taekwondo coach in Emmering for eight years, where I pass on my enthusiasm and skills to children, young people and adults. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family, running with my dog or climbing in the mountains.
Why do I work together with Neunundvierzig?
I enjoy helping people bring structure and security to their financial planning. Independent and objective advice is invaluable. It is precisely these values that I have found at Neunundvierzig Honorarberatung. With my many years of experience and expertise, I support the clients of Neunundvierzig as a freelancer in the creation of wealth and financial plans. My aim is to develop solutions that offer clarity, reliability and long-term success.
